Happy Birthday and Hello...

Making a "gate" card is something that I have done only one time before this card, many years ago.  I am participating at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week and challenge is a gate card.  I made several versions.  I added the ribbon and wrapped it twice around the card so the recipient could untie it and then be able to tie the ribbon at least one time around the card and make a bow.  Once you cut the ends of the ribbon I can never tie it back!   I used the daisy out of a current SU set and the Flowers on the panel are from a current Su hostess set (Pressed Flowers)  The sentiments "sending a Happy hello" and "From me to you" are from the Blossoming Cherry digital set by Power Poppy by Marcella Hawley (on sale for 2.99 this weekend).   I am experiment with digital stamps and paper.   The blue background dots go all the way around the card base (digi rustic polka dots from ShannonlCasper at Etsy).   Thanks for stopping by!

Fastened With Love...

Inspired by this week's sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches I made a baby card using the SU Fastened With Love set.   I've had it awhile and decided that it was time to use it!   The paper is from Little Panda Etsy Pink and Grey collection...I love printing what I need and since I recently purchased a new printer that sends me ink when I get low with a printing allowance of 300 sheets a month FREE....well you get the picture!    I love the rectangle stitched die cuts from SU and the square stitched Sizzix die cuts that I got from Hobby Lobby!         Thanks for looking,   Kathy

Joy of the Lord...

"J" is for JOY....so many of the design artists at Just Add Ink made Joy cards--so I decided to make a joy card also...I downloaded this verse from Etsy.    I used Frosted Floral DSP SU for the base and cut a frame from Poppy dies from SSS, using SU Blackberry which is one of the colors in the DSP.  In the picture it is a bit overpowering.  Lesson learned!   It's a "no stamping" card...I spent most of the afternoon installing a "new" printer and it was quite the experience...but the ink is pigment and dries fast and I think the image that I printed turned out so crisp!      Thanks for stopping by, wishing a great week!    Kathy

Sympathy, butterflies and buds...

My card is inspired by Just Add Ink, and I decided to keep it simple today, SSS spring kit 2018 paper, favorite font sentiment (very old) and retired SU butterfly die cut folder thingy with black string!   A card for my husband to send a female co-worker.  However, after working with ITunes on my Iphone I can no longer upload pictures straight to my computer.  So I uploaded to pinterest and then saved it as...and here it is!    I am through for today...but tomorrow I will call my computer people(Geek squad) and get this all fixed.   On another note (no pun intended)...my ITunes work great!  Have a good week!   Kathy
