Pink Daisy Card

A few days ago I discovered the Retro Rubber Challenge, which is perfect for some of us who have stamps that retired long long ago!     Today's card features the SU hostess set "Bloom with Hope."   Such a sweet set I have used it on numerous occasions through the years.   Everything used on my Daisy Get Well Card is retired except for the SU Polished Pink and Soft Succulent markers and the Soft Succulent cardstock.    Thanks for visiting,   Kathy

Psa.29.11 encouragement card

Today's card is stamp free.   I used Dandy Garden a new DSP from SU and downloaded a WordArt Wednesday Bible Verse Psalm 29.11.  Using the butterfly punch that is part of the Dandy Garden Suite I punched out a butterfly from one of the papers!     The design is this week's sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

#500 Freshly Made Sketch

In celebration of Freshly Made Sketches 500th sketch, I made a couple of cards.   The first one is the actual submission because it follows the sketch more closely than the Second one.   I used new product from SU, Celebrate with Flowers from the new Annual Catalog and Beautifully Penned DSP from the Sale-a- bration freebies.   The freshly Made Sketches are always awesome and I h much doing these sketches over the years whenever possible.   This is linked to Seize the Birthda y Anything Goes.  I also enjoy the inspiration their blog provides.     In addition to the sketch I was also inspired remembering how much my mother loved fabric and was such an awesome seamstress.  When I saw the DSP in the neutral grey, black, white I thought of so many cute dresses she had made for my sisters and I and others many years ago... So I gravitated to frou-frou.   I can imagine my mom making a cute little gathered empire waisted drees with gathered cap sleeves out of the polka dot and then for adde

Snowflake Friendship

Generally I seem to gravitate to monochromatic coloring for my card works...It's not that I don't love color--it's just making a decision about which ones to combine together can be overwhelming.     For today's card (picture of it is cockeyed-sorry)  I wanted a calm and soft look.    A friend let me borrow her Snowflake Wishes and dies, I'm not sure if it is still current or not.  I know the blue is SU retired.   I am making more of these to swap with some friends.   The sketch is from T ry Stamping on Tuesday.
